Daily Eats: Food About Town Part II

August 1 Lunch with Steve Roberts at Barrio Cafe. This is a must visit place if you enjoy gourmet Mexican food. I totally enjoyed everything especially the unusual guacamole, which had cranberries. I would never have ventured this combination would be so good.

August 3 Invite to lunch with Maria Radloff at the Phoenix Ad Club. The buffet at the Phoenix Country Club was great and chocolate desserts awesome. The highlight of the event was showing of the
Addy Awards. It brought tears to my eyes as I saw ads that friends from Ogilvy produced.

August 5 Dinner at
LaYali as if you haven't guessed I'm a big fan of Middle Eastern food. This place is awesome. The owner, Anna gets everyone the mood to belly dance. The lovely and beautiful Raven had her Raven's boutique there. I bought this beautiful cross pendent. It was Lori Brown, who brought my attention to Raven's parties. They are a lot of fun.

August 10 I was invite to AZ Women's Million Dollar Women's club. I met the
Fairy Tale Brownies owner, Eileen Spitalny. Yummy! Fairy Tale Brownies are delicious. While stuffing my face with yummy brownies I got to visit with my friend, Kate Fitzgerald, editor and chief of Arizona Woman's magazine. Always a delight to see Kate. I a lovely conversation with Beate Assmuth-Ong, owner of Mane Attraction Make-up, I am making plans to visit before I leave for New York.

August 15 The folks of Luxury SpaFinder invited my client and I to dinner. Besides talking about a spa cuisine we talked about scuba diving. We dined at Ra, I have to pan this one. It's great for the 16-35 year old crowd or folks who don't know quality sushi. The music was loud and the sushi fair. I had a similar experience at the Ra in Las Vegas last year. The environment has too much sensory overload making it unenjoyable.
